Hyderabad, November 15: The Telangana Working Journalists Federation (TWJF) has decided to conduct its third State Convention in December. In a statewide extended meeting held in Hyderabad, the federation announced the dissolution of the existing State Committee, citing the completion of its tenure. A State Convening Committee has been appointed to oversee the arrangements for the upcoming convention.

The meeting was chaired by TWJF State President Mamidi Somaiah, with participation from office-bearers, executive members, district presidents and secretaries, accreditation committee members, State Council, and National Council members from all districts.

During the session, the members unanimously approved the earlier emergency resolution removing former General Secretary Basava Punnaiah from the federation. The federation stated that he was ousted for allegedly mishandling organisational responsibilities, withholding financial records, preventing district-level conventions, and misguiding members.
