The meeting also resolved that district committees elected for the 2025–27 term shall continue as usual. Old committees in districts where conventions were not conducted have been dissolved. Ad-hoc committees will soon be set up in those districts to conduct local conventions and elect new committees.

Further, the federation appealed to the government to implement an insurance scheme for journalists, provide free education and medical facilities to their children, and introduce a pension scheme for senior journalists.
- Punnaiah Expulsion Approved
The extended meeting unanimously endorsed the earlier decision to expel Basava Punnayya permanently from TWJF. Members alleged that he failed to present financial records related to membership fees, diaries, and magazine revenues, obstructed district conventions, and attempted to divide the federation. The meeting clarified that he no longer holds any association with TWJF and warned that any activity conducted under the federation’s name by him will lead to legal action. The responsibility for such enforcement has been entrusted to the newly formed State Convening Committee.

- State Convening Committee Formed
To oversee the organisation of the third State Convention and other federation activities, an eight-member State Convening Committee has been constituted.
