#Cyberabad: Constitution Defeated, Rowdyism Triumphs
Security Apparatus Asleep — Do Poor Lives Have Any Value?
Cyberabad, Balanagar Zone : Has the system meant to protect ordinary citizens completely collapsed? Are assurances that the law will take its own course nothing more than hollow words? When hundreds of masked men go on a violent rampage in the heart of the state capital, what exactly are the police doing? Whom are elected representatives really serving?
An incident that occurred on December 14 under the limits of Jagadgirigutta Police Station has left civil society deeply embarrassed. Despite victims repeatedly approaching the police station and pleading for justice, their cries allegedly fell on deaf ears, sparking widespread criticism.
Mob Attack by Hundreds in Broad Daylight
In Shamsiguda, Survey No. 57, Fourth Estate Colony, families who have been residing there for decades were allegedly attacked by land grabbers on Sunday. According to victims, individuals identified as B. Subba Rao, P. Venkateswara Rao, P. Krishnapriya, along with their associates Venkat, Vinod, and G. Preethi, led hundreds of unidentified men wearing masks.
From morning till evening, the mob allegedly unleashed violence, creating an atmosphere of terror in the locality.

“We Will Kill and Bury You Here — Police Can’t Touch Us”
When residents pleaded with the attackers not to demolish their homes, the mob reportedly assaulted those who resisted, leaving several injured. Victims allege they were openly threatened:
“Vacate peacefully or we will kill you and bury you here. No one can question us. Even the police can’t do anything.”
Such statements have raised serious doubts locally — are the attackers fearless of the khaki uniform, or are they operating with political and administrative backing?
Road Blockades and Illegal Fencing
Despite having no legal ownership, previous court reprimands, and clear statements from GHMC denying permissions, the accused allegedly erected illegal fencing using blue sheets. Roads surrounding the victims’ houses were blocked, effectively confining families inside their own homes.
Residents question whether such acts belong in a civilized society governed by law.
Known Criminals, Yet No Action
Shockingly, several of the accused reportedly already face multiple criminal cases — including kidnapping, land grabbing, and intimidation — across Jagadgirigutta and other Hyderabad police stations. In the past, bind-over proceedings were reportedly conducted under the supervision of senior police officials, including the DCP.
Yet, the same individuals allegedly returned to the same location and resumed attacks with impunity, strengthening suspicions of political patronage behind them.
Questions That Demand Answers
To the Police:
Where was your intelligence and surveillance when hundreds of masked men gathered and attacked residents? Why were bind-over offenders allowed to repeat their crimes unchecked?
To Public Representatives:
Leaders who beg for votes — why the silence when poor families are attacked before your eyes? Are you shielding the perpetrators?
To the Authorities:
Do court orders and legal norms mean nothing? Must lives be lost before you react?
Victims Demand Immediate Justice
The affected families are demanding the immediate removal of illegal barricades and fencing, registration of criminal cases against all attackers, and strict legal action without political interference.
The question remains — will the system finally respond, or will the lives of the poor continue to be treated as expendable? Only time will tell.
