A wave of panic gripped Hyderabad on Monday as multiple bomb threats were reported at several high-security and public locations across the city. The threats, delivered via phone calls and emails from unidentified sources, claimed that explosive devices had been planted at the following sites: Raj Bhavan, City Civil Court, Judge’s Chambers, Gymkhana Club, and Judge’s Quarters.
The first alert came in the form of a phone call to the City Civil Court, where an anonymous caller warned of a bomb planted within the premises. Authorities responded swiftly, evacuating court staff and deploying bomb disposal and dog squad teams to comb the area. Shortly after, an email surfaced alleging that a bomb had also been placed at Raj Bhavan, prompting an immediate and intensive search operation by police forces.
