GHATKESAR POLICE SOLVE MURDER MYSTERY: THREE ARRESTED FOR KILLING AND DUMPING MAN IN EDULABAD LAKE
Reported by MJ Khan | Nyayamithra News
In a chilling case that has shocked the community, Ghatkesar Police have successfully cracked a brutal murder involving the killing of a 45-year-old man, Vadluri Lingam, whose body was discovered in Edulabad Lake. The case, registered under Crime No. 393/2025 U/s 103(1), 238, 217 BNS, led to the arrest of three individuals on July 9, 2025—Mohammad Javeed Hussain (24), a cook and Rapido rider; Vadluri Manisha (25), the victim’s daughter; and Vadluri Sharadha (40), the victim’s wife and a GHMC sweeper. The murder was reportedly driven by domestic tensions and a hate-fueled conspiracy rooted in an illicit relationship between Javeed and Manisha, which the victim strongly opposed.
According to the investigation, Lingam had been increasingly suspicious and abusive toward his wife and daughter, particularly objecting to Manisha’s relationship with Javeed. The trio allegedly conspired to eliminate him. About 10 to 15 days prior to the murder, Javeed and Manisha visited Edulabad Lake, a location Javeed frequented for fishing and video-making, and identified it as a suitable place to dispose of the body. On July 6, Sharadha mixed sleeping pills into Lingam’s toddy. Once he was intoxicated, Javeed suffocated him with a pillow while Manisha and Sharadha restrained his hands and legs. The accused then beat him and strangled him with a rope. After the murder, they left the body at home, went to a movie, and later returned to transport the body using a cab and a bike. They convinced the cab driver that Lingam was merely drunk and needed to be dropped off at Edulabad. Once there, they dragged the body to the lake and dumped it, discarding his belongings nearby.
The police seized critical evidence including blood-stained items, the victim’s jewelry, currency, a security cap, rope, and personal belongings. They also recovered mobile phones from all accused and the deceased, along with the Bajaj CT 100 bike used in the crime. The investigation was led under the guidance of Sri G. Sudheer Babu, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, with close supervision by Smt. P.V. Padmaja, IPS, DCP Malkajgiri, and support from Sri N. Venkata Ramana, Addl. DCP, and Sri S. Chakrapani, ACP Malkajgiri. The case was cracked by Inspector P. Parusharamu, Detective Inspector J. Srinivas, SI A. Shekar, and the dedicated staff of Ghatkesar PS and the Rachakonda IT Core Team.
The police have urged the public to resolve personal and emotional conflicts through legal and peaceful means. They emphasized that violence is never a solution and encouraged families to seek counseling and support services when facing disputes. Taking a life is not justice—it is a crime.
