Alleged Assault in a Car

In her complaint, the woman told police that about six months into her job, the professor took her out in his car on the pretext of work and allegedly assaulted her. Despite her repeated pleas, she claimed that he continued to harass her both physically and mentally over the following months.

The victim said that the professor frequently kept her at work late into the night, leading to conflicts with her husband. The strain reportedly escalated to the point where she received a divorce notice and began living separately. According to her statement, the accused exploited her vulnerable situation to intensify his harassment.

Complaint and Arrest

As the situation worsened, the woman approached the police and submitted a written complaint detailing the abuse. After registering a case, investigators arrested the professor and produced him before a magistrate, who remanded him to judicial custody.

The incident has caused significant concern among students and staff at JNTU, raising questions about safety and accountability on campus. Police said further investigation is underway..

Sub-Inspector of jagadgiriGutta, Naveen Reddy, attended the event and reiterated the police department’s commitment to eradicating ganja from Jagadgirigutta with the support of local residents.

He stated that ganja consumption is rising particularly among students and youth due to stress, workload, lack of parental care, and limited educational opportunities. He emphasized that involving children in sports from an early age helps them cope with stress and prevents them from falling into drug abuse.

He encouraged continuous awareness programs and appreciated the unity displayed by political leaders and residents in organizing the event. He called for sustained collective efforts to achieve a ganja-free community.

Key participants included CPI district secretary Umamahesh, assistant secretary Harinath Rao, Prajanatyam Mandali president Praveen, Congress leaders Ganesh and Sai Pantulu, Jana Sena president Satish, TRS Vice President Sajid, social worker Chikale Madhubabu, Helping Hands Vijay, Prajanatyam Mandali member Babu, and numerous basti leaders. Youth representatives, women’s groups, Cab Association leaders, and students from multiple schools also took part, ensuring the program’s resounding success.

According to reports, the incident took place around the time when the school was about to close for the day. The lift reportedly fell from the first floor to the ground floor, leading to minor to moderate injuries among the teachers. The school management immediately responded and shifted the injured to People’s Hospital in Pragathi Nagar for treatment. Doctors confirmed that the teachers sustained bone fractures, but their condition is stable.

Experts stated that the impact was minimal since the lift fell only from the first floor. “Had it slipped from three or four floors, it could have been a major tragedy,” they said. Locals also pointed out that the situation could have turned fatal if students had been in the lift at the time. Meanwhile, student associations demanded safety checks and regular fitness certifications for lifts in all educational institutions to prevent such incidents in the future.

Mandal Education Officer visited the injured teachers at the hospital and assured support. Former Nizampet President Akula Satish demanded strict action against the school, alleging it was being run in an unauthorized building without an occupancy certificate.

Speaking during a door-to-door campaign held on Thursday in Vengalrao Nagar Division in support of Congress candidate Naveen Yadav, Ramesh stated that women and youth are showing significant support for the Congress Party. He reiterated that the Congress government is successfully implementing the six guarantees promised to the people.

•  సాంఘిక అభివృద్ధి సాధించి మానవ జీవితాలను సుఖమయం చేయడంతోపాటు ప్రపంచ దేశాల మధ్య వచ్చే అనేక అభిప్రాయ బేధాలను పరిష్కరించే పెద్దమనిషిగా వ్యవహరించడం వంటివి. ఐక్యరాజ్యసమితి 6 ప్రధాన అంగాలను కలిగి ఉంది.

 1. సర్వ ప్రతినిధి సభ - ఈ సభలో దేశాలన్నిటికి ప్రాతినిధ్యంతో పాటు సమాన ఓటు హక్కు కలిగి ఉంటాయి. సంవత్సరమునకు ఒక పర్యాయం సమావేశం అవుతుంది. ఈ సమావేశానికి అధ్యక్షుణ్ణి సభ్యదేశాలు ఎన్నిక చేస్తాయి. క్రొత్త దేశాలకు సభ్యత్వం కల్పించేందుకు భద్రతా మండలిలో తాత్కాలిక సభ్యదేశాలను ఎన్నిక చేయడంలో ఈ సభకు అధికారము ఉంటుంది. సమితి ఆశయాలకు, లక్ష్యాలకు వ్యతిరేకంగా వ్యవహరించే సభ్యదేశాలను తొలగించే అధికారము కూడా ఈ సభకే ఉంది. అన్ని రంగాలలో అంతర్జాతీయ సహకారాన్ని పెంపొందించడం దీని కర్తవ్యం. ఈ సభ మూడింట రెండు వంతుల (2/3) మెజారిటీతో నిర్ణయాలు చేస్తుంది.

 2. భద్రతా మండలి - సమితి ప్రారంభమయ్యే నాటికి ఇందులో సభ్యదేశాల సంఖ్య 11. ప్రస్తుతం 15 సభ్యదేశాలు ఉన్నాయి. అందులో 5 శాశ్వత సభ్యదేశాలు కాగా 10 రెండేళ్ళ కాల వ్యవధి కొరకు తాత్కాలిక సభ్య దేశాలుగా ఎన్నుకోబడతాయి. శాశ్వత సభ్యదేశాలు అమెరికా, రష్యా, ఇంగ్లాండ్, చైనా మరియు ఫ్రాన్స్ లు. ఈ శాశ్వత సభ్యదేశాలకు వీటో అధికారం ఉంటుంది. సమితి ప్రారంభమైనప్పటి నుండి ఇందులో ప్రధానంగా రెండు మార్పులు చేశారు. ప్రారంభంలో 6 తాత్కాలిక సభ్యదేశాలు ఉండగా దాని సంఖ్యను 10 కి పెంచారు. వీరిలో ఆసియా, ఆఫ్రికా దేశాల నుండి ఐదుగురు, లాటిన్ అమెరికా దేశాల నుండి ఇద్దరు, పశ్చిమ ఐరోపా నుండి ఇద్దరు, తూర్పు ఐరోపా నుండి ఒకరు ఎన్నిక అవుతుంటారు. తాత్కాలిక సభ్యదేశాలను సాధారణసభ ఎన్నిక చేస్తుంది. ఏ దేశం కూడా వరుసగా రెండు పర్యాయాలు ఎన్నిక కారాదు. దీనికి మాసానికొకమాకు అధ్యక్షుడు మారుతూ ఉంటాడు. భద్రతా మండలి తమ ఆదేశాలను పాటించని రాజ్యాలపై ఆంక్షలు విధిమచడమే కాకుండా సైనిక చర్యలను చేపట్టే అధికారం కూడా కలిగి ఉంటుంది.

 3. సచివాలయం - సమితి వ్యవహారాలను నిర్వహించే కార్యనిర్వాహక విభాగం యిది. దీని ప్రధాన కార్యాలయం న్యూయార్క్ నగరంలో ఉంటుంది. దీనిలో పదివేలకు పైగా ఉద్యోగులు పని చేస్తూ ఉంటారు. సచివాలయానికి ప్రధాన అధికారిని సెక్రటరీ జనరల్ అంటారు. సమితి వివిధ విభాగాలకు, అనుబంధ సంస్థలకు అవసరమైన సమాచారం, అధ్యయనం, సదుపాయాల వంటి విషయాలు సచివాలయ ఆధ్వర్యంలో నిర్వహించబడతాయి. సమితి శాంతి సైనిక దళాలు (బ్లూ హెల్మెట్స్) కూడ సచివాలయం ఆధీనంలో పనిచేస్తాయి.

 4. ధర్మకర్తృత్వ మండలి - కొన్ని పాశ్చాత్య దేశాల వలసపాలన క్రింద కొనసాగిన దేశాల భూభాగాల ప్రయోజనాలను కాపాడటం దీని ప్రధాన లక్ష్యం. ఇది సంవత్సరానికి రెండు సార్లు సమావేశమవుతుంది. ఇందులో మూడు రకాల సభ్యత్వాలు ఉంటాయి.

 5. ఆర్థిక, సాంఘిక మండలి - ఇది సాధారణ సభ ఆధ్వర్యంలో పని చేస్తుంది. ఇందులో 54 మంది సభ్యులు ఉంటారు. ఈ మండలి యేటా రెండు సార్లు సమావేశమవుతుంది. ప్రజల జీవన స్థాయిని మెరుగుపరచడం, విద్యా, సాంస్కృతిక, ఆరోగ్య రంగాలలో అంతర్జాతీయ సహకారానికి కృషి చేయడం, మానవహక్కులను సమర్థించడం వంటివి దీని ప్రధాన ఆశయాలు.

6. అంతర్జాతీయ న్యాయస్థానం - ఇదే ప్రపంచ న్యాయస్థానంగా పిలువబడుతుంది. ఇది సమితి యొక్క ప్రాథమిక తీర్పులను ప్రకటించే విభాగం. దీని కార్యాలయం నెదర్లాండ్స్ లోని హేగ్ నగరంలో గల శాంతి సౌధంలో ఉంది. సభ్యుదేశాల ద్వారా సమర్పించబడిన న్యాయ వాదనలు అలకించడం మరియు తీర్పు చెప్పడం. అంతర్జాతీయ న్యాయస్థానం మరియు అంతర్జాతీయ క్రిమినల్ కోర్టు రెండు వేరు వేరు సంస్థలు. వీటి రెండింటికి ప్రపంచ పరిధి ఉంది" అని అన్నారు. 

ఐక్యరాజ్యసమితి ప్రత్యేక ఒప్పందాల ద్వారా సమితి అనుబంధ సంస్థలు ఏర్పడ్డాయి. ఇవి ఆర్థిక, సామాజిక, సాంస్కృతిక, విద్య, వైద్య రంగాలలో పని చేస్తుంటాయి. ఈ అనుబంధ సంస్థలకు సమితి ఆర్థిక, సామాజిక మండలి సహాయ సహకారాలు అందజేస్తూ ఉంటుంది.

 "ఐక్యరాజ్యసమితిలో 193 సభ్యదేశాలు సభ్యత్వం కలిగి ఉన్నాయి రెండు దేశాలు తాత్కాలికంగా గుర్తించ బడ్డాయి. భారతదేశానికి కూడా త్వరలో UN భద్రతా మండలిలో శాశ్వత సభ్యత్వ దేశాల సరసన చేరుతుందని ఆశిద్దాం. అప్పుడే మన దేశ ప్రభావం కూడా ప్రపంచ దేశాలపై ఉంటుంది" అని తెలిపారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో విద్యార్థులు, అధ్యాపకులు తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
