According to police, the victim, identified as Sadugun, a resident of Vallabha Apartments near Chitaramma Temple in Gajularamaram, had listed his Honda Activa for sale on the OLX platform. A suspect who saw the advertisement arrived at the apartment early in the morning, claiming he wanted to test-ride the vehicle.

Trusting him, the owner handed over the two-wheeler. However, the man never returned. Realising they had been cheated, the victim and family approached Jagadgirigutta Police Station and lodged a complaint.

Police have registered a case and launched efforts to trace the missing scooter and identify the absconding thief.
