According to residents of Shamsiguda village under Kukatpally mandal, a prime commercial government plot measuring approximately 1,200 square yards in Survey No. 57, located behind the Krishna Function Hall near Ellammabanda, is now under threat. The land is estimated to be worth nearly ₹15 crore.

Locals allege that a few private individuals from Kukatpally have illegally entered the site, falsely citing documents related to Survey No. 32, which belongs to Ambir Cheruvu and nala (water channel) lands. Using these misleading papers, the accused have reportedly placed a large container on the site and begun constructing commercial shutters.

Residents claim that the government land earlier had an official signboard, which has now been removed. Construction activity is said to be taking place day and night, including weekends, with no fear of legal consequences.

Demanding immediate intervention, locals have urged revenue authorities to demolish all illegal commercial structures being built on Survey No. 57 and restore the site to government control.

Officials Respond: "Strict Action Will Be Taken" – RDO

Malkajgiri Revenue Divisional Officer Shyam Prakash stated that the Revenue Department operates transparently and will not tolerate any attempt to encroach upon government land.

He confirmed issuing instructions to the concerned Tahsildar to remove the illegal shutters constructed in Survey No. 57 using unrelated survey documents. The RDO also clarified that criminal cases will be filed against those responsible for the encroachment, if necessary.

“We will take action against anyone trying to occupy government property. Directions have already been given to proceed with demolition and legal measures,” he said.
