BC Leaders Rally Together to Honor Eeshwara Chari’s Memory

The final rites of Eeshwara Chari became a significant event, drawing large numbers of BC leaders who expressed their solidarity with Chari's grieving family. Many political leaders, including those from the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Communist Party of India (CPI),Telangana Rajyadikara party (TRP) ined the mourners, calling for immediate implementation of the BC reservations and stronger actions from the government.

Sorrow Strikes Jagadgirigutta as Community Demands Justice

The mood in Jagadgirigutta, where Chari lived, turned somber as news of his death spread. The BC community in the area, already frustrated by the lack of progress on the BC reservations issue, now faces the painful loss of a young man who had become a symbol of their struggle. Many locals and activists are calling for justice, as well as for the government to deliver on its promises to the BC community.

Political Leaders Condemn Congress, Demand Accountability from Government

Following the tragedy, several prominent political figures, including Teenmarr Mallanna, lashed out at the Congress party, accusing it of failing to secure BC rights and reservations. The leaders voiced their frustration over the ongoing confusion and legal roadblocks surrounding the 42% BC reservation bill, which the Telangana High Court recently stayed, leaving many in the BC community disillusioned.

Teenmarr Mallanna Arrested Ahead of Eeshwara Chari’s Final Journey

Police placed Teenmarr Mallanna under house arrest on Saturday, reportedly to prevent any political unrest during Chari’s funeral procession. Mallanna had intended to attend the final rites, but authorities acted preemptively, fearing a large-scale protest or clash. He was later released after the ceremony, and Mallanna proceeded to visit Chari's family, where he assured them of his ongoing support.

Political Leaders from Multiple Parties Pledge Support to Chari’s Family

At the funeral, key political figures from various parties—TRP, TRS, BJP, and CPI—gathered to offer their condolences and express their commitment to supporting Chari’s family. Among the leaders present were Telangana Rajyadikara party (TRP) Harishankar Goud, Vatte Janayya Yadav, and district-level leaders. They all reiterated their demand for immediate action from the Telangana government to address the grievances of the BC community, particularly regarding the reservation issue.

Teenmarr Mallanna Vows to Continue the Fight for BC Rights

During his visit to Chari’s home, Mallanna spoke emotionally about the tragedy. He expressed his sorrow over the loss and emphasized that Chari’s death was a result of the government’s failure to deliver on BC reservations. Mallanna also promised to continue fighting for the cause and announced a financial commitment of ₹5 lakh for Chari’s children. Additionally, Mallanna demanded that the government provide a job for Chari's widow, a home for the family, and a compensation of ₹5 crore for their loss.

This tragic event has highlighted the growing unrest within the BC community, and political leaders are now united in calling for immediate reform and justice. The pressure on the Telangana government to resolve the BC reservation issue has reached new heights, with the death of Eeshwara Chari serving as a poignant reminder of the urgent need for action.

While covering the event, Aaj Tak channel cameraman Damodar suddenly collapsed after suffering a massive cardiac arrest. Police personnel and party workers present at the spot immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital. However, doctors declared that Damodar had died before reaching the hospital.

The incident cast a pall of gloom over the protest, and media personnel expressed deep grief over the sudden demise of the senior cameraman.

According to reports, the 54-acre KVR Layout venture was developed in 2004. However, during the TRS regime, local MLC and his brother allegedly extended support to a person named Naresh, who, along with his associates, encroached upon the designated park areas. It is alleged that fake documents were created in the name of the original developer K.V. Ramaraju, including forged signatures, to obtain registrations using purported High Court orders.

Satish stated that despite earlier complaints, only symbolic demolitions were carried out and no criminal cases were registered against the culprits. He also pointed out that in 2024, Naresh was involved in a firing incident near Gajularamaram village with an illegal gun. Based on Ramaraju’s complaint regarding park encroachments, Dundigal Police had registered a case (No. 737/2024) but later closed it without full investigation.

Satish further alleged that no inquiry was conducted against MLC, his brother Councillor, who were reportedly backing the encroachments. He claimed that Naresh has now resumed illegal sales of park land in collaboration with ruling party leaders.

Satish demanded that all illegal constructions in the park areas be immediately demolished, fencing be installed to protect the public property, and criminal cases be registered against those responsible, including the local MLC and his associates.

Prominent citizens Arun Rao, Eshwar Reddy, Srinivas, and Pandu participated in the protest demanding action from Dundigal Municipal officials.
