Speaking on the occasion, DCP Sunitha Reddy said that police officers never hesitate to step forward when it comes to ensuring public safety. She recalled the 1959 incident in Ladakh, where several police personnel were martyred while performing their duties. The DCP also remembered SI Saidiah, Constables Sai and others who lost their lives in the Yacharam Police Station blast, commending their courage and sacrifice.

She further stated that every year on October 21, the Police Martyrs’ Day, the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate visits the families of martyred officers to understand their living conditions and extend support. Referring to the recent incident in Nizamabad, where a constable was fatally attacked with a knife, she assured that the government and police department stand firmly with the bereaved family.

Highlighting the importance of community service, DCP Sunitha Reddy said that organizing blood donation camps is part of their mission to help the needy and those in critical condition. She urged women, youth, and students to stay safe, avoid drugs and intoxicating substances, and contribute positively to society.
