In 2020, the District Collector had officially notified the site under Nizampet Village Survey No.93 and issued a circular to local bodies to develop the vacant land into a park. However, due to a lack of funds, no development took place, allowing encroachers to attempt illegal occupation.

Concerned over the encroachment, local residents and the former BJP president submitted representations to the Malkajgiri RDO and the District Collector, urging protection of the land. Subsequently, a formal complaint with supporting documents was filed with the Hydraa Agency.

Acting on the petition, Hydraa lodged a case against the encroachers at the Bachupally Police Station. Following the Commissioner Ranganadh’s orders, CI Naresh and his team visited the site on Wednesday and fenced the park land to prevent further encroachment.

Local residents expressed gratitude to Hydraa and the officials for their prompt response, raising slogans in support of the agency and celebrating the safeguarding of their community park.
