
According to officials, the incident unfolded as follows:
Medchal Police arrested six individuals involved in illegally cutting down eucalyptus trees in Raj Bollaram Thanda, under the Medchal Police Station limits. Along with the accused, police seized two tractors and two tons of eucalyptus stumps.

Banothu Goutham (24) and Malavath Anil (21) were found to have illegally felled six eucalyptus trees.
Malothu Rajkumar (19) and Banothu Naveen (21) assisted them in transporting the felled timber.
The cut eucalyptus wood was later purchased by Malavath Nagesh (20) and Malavath Gopi (29).
Police arrested all six individuals and confiscated six tons of eucalyptus stumps along with two tractors bearing registration numbers TS 08 UL 2803 and TS 08 UM 0540, ACP Shankar Reddy confirmed.
He added that the police remain vigilant in curbing such illegal activities. ACP Shankar Reddy urged the public to cooperate with law enforcement, share any relevant information, and help maintain a crime-free environment in the state. He also advised residents and organizations to install CCTV cameras in isolated and vulnerable areas to enhance safety.
